Spirit Slim Twin (figured Bubinga)

The whole body of this guitar was carved from a single piece of uniquely quilted bubinga that reflects the light in a quite fantastic and very three-dimensional fashion.

Bubinga is a hard, heavy, wood from Africa, sometimes called ‘African rosewood’

The sound is quite unexpected - a clear, deep, mellow tone that rings evenly across all 6 strings – it has been described as the electric sound of a good nylon-strung classical guitar, or the sound of a jazz guitar with rock and roll sustain and presence. All in all, a very attractive and unique solo instrument for a very individual sound.
